How a lawn is built

Most of the work happens before any grass goes down. Three stages, shown with our own site photos.

  1. Level the soil

    The ground is cleared, filled where needed, levelled and raked fine.

  2. Lay the turf

    Turf goes down tightly, edge to edge, and is pressed in so the roots meet the soil.

  3. Water and settle

    The new lawn is watered in and starts to knit together.

Fairgreen Farm's is led by Naveen M, B.E (Agri.), a landscape consultant based in Rajapalayam. Gardens, lawns, water and farms all depend on soil, water and plants working together, so we plan them together.

How do I get a quote?
Call us, message us on WhatsApp or fill in the form on the contact page. Tell us where the site is and what you need, and we will call you back to discuss the work and plan a visit.
Which grass should I choose, pearl grass or Mexican grass?
We lay both. The right one depends on how much sun the area gets, how much people will walk on it and how much water you can give it. We suggest one once we have seen the site.
Can you work on a garden that already exists?
Yes. New beds, replacing a patchy lawn, adding irrigation and regular upkeep can all be done in an existing garden.
Do you supply the plants?
Yes. Ornamental plants, palms, trees and hedge plants come from nursery stock and are brought to your site as part of the planting work.
Which areas do you work in?
We are based in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu. Tell us your location when you get in touch and we will confirm whether we can take up the work.
